Overflow Tank
The overflow tank is a vital component of the cooling system. Designed to prevent rust build up in the radiator and provides extra storage space for expanded coolant. The engine heats up the coolant circulating in the radiator system, the coolant expands and flows into the overflow tank. Once the engine cools down, the coolant flows back into the radiator. The overflow tank also removes air bubbles from the cooling system.
Also known as an Expansion Tank or Coolant Reservoir.
